IN-GS-110 - Goddess of Liberty inlay German Silver This 'Goddess of Liberty' inlay is very specific to Lehigh area guns. It was usually inlet just forward of the triggerguard. Sometimes called 'the Liberty head' or 'the Indian head'. A very appropriate inlay for our Rupp guns and other Lehigh style guns. It is said that the name comes from when the freed Romans wore the Phyrgian cap or pileus as a symbol of their newfound freedom, and the tradition was carried on by the Sons of Liberty in 1765.
