A good book with elaborate text on methods useful to all of us who build. The spiral bound book opens up and lays flat on the workbench.

This spectacular plan (or drawing)is from an original J&S Hawken pistol. Shows hooked breech with long tang and a very special trigger assembly 9 1/2" barrel in .46 caliber. One of the best drawings I have seen.

Take care to add this huge 562 page book to your library. It has only been released twice before with limited runs and only two thousand have been produced in this third printing! Includes a map of Pennsylvania with boroughs, county’s and builders appropriate to each. Over 100 gunmakers work are shown here as well as details known to the writer about each builder. I cannot begin to describe the worth of this great book. 3rd edition.

It has been 1980 since these last appeared and only two thousand have been produced now in this second edition printing. I cannot stress the importance of this set. These show what Kindigs “Thoughts” do not! This is the new reprint with added guns and many color photo's. Much cleaner printing and photos!
