21220 - Door Close SpringThis patchbox spring installs under the finial, pushing on the door cam, which holds the door closed until lifted it is lifted enough for the cam to go over center; then it pops open.

21230 - Door Catch Spring This patchbox spring screws to the bottom of the cavity, extending up to catch the lid to hold it closed. Commonly used with lid lift spring #21240.

21240 - Lid Lift Spring This patchbox spring mounts to the cavity wall or door hinge, depending upon the application. It is mounted to push up on the patchbox or capbox lid. Normally used with a lid/door catch spring #21230.

21250 - Post Catch Spring This patchbox spring acts as a catch to hold the door closed when installed with a patchbox release kit, ( # 10140 , 10150 or 10160 ). It is driven into the end grain of the wood under the buttplate. The top of the spring catches a notch filed into the door post.
