Thimbles

This is a wonderful section with a delightful future for new additions. Not only do we manufacture both sheet metal cut and formed thimbles but we are working on new molds for investment cast styles of several very beautiful designs. Also, Ted Cash Manufacturing provides us with a very high quality, thin metal formed and shaped group of thimbles which we carry for your convenience. For those of you who want the most authentic and highest quality castings available, the new molds under construction of several new original styles will soon be ready for you to enjoy. These thimbles will be investment cast from original examples and will be available in brass, steel, and brand new for us all ….. german silver as well!  Look for these new castings! We will add them as we complete each design!

When you install a lower entry thimble, do so soon in the building process. This detail helps establish your belly line and molding dimensions for the rod channel. Inlet straight down until the inside of the thimbles are flush with your rod channel bottom. Pin your entry with two small diameter pins to eliminate the rocking single pinned mounts sometimes exhibit.
