German Jaeger

The  American  Kentucky  rifle  was  directly  influenced  by  this  German  made, short barreled, heavy stocked rifle with high cheek. All were carved in high relief in an expert show of European design and engraving. These rifles were built specifically as a hunting gun for the European sportsman. Even so, they were most elaborate in their artistic display. It was this short heavy gun and the long-barreled, smooth-bore English fowling pieces which merged and developed into our Pennsylvania longrifle to be ever known on the Kentucky frontier. This pre-shaped stock is enhanced by the availability of our plans on Jaegers that can be used as a pictorial guide to re-create an actual original German Jaeger. Stock has capability to use barrels up to 36” in length and comes with straight or round barrel channel in standard price. Advise as to size of barrel. We no longer stock Jaeger swamped barrels but will recommend a supplier. Right hand only.
