Tennessee Classic Stock

This is most likely the most comfortable of all the Tennessee longrifle patterns of Southern guns. The Southern and Virginia influence is strong here in this stock and is highly similar to our North Carolina. It is thinner but does not have the same drop in the heel. This style is another American longrifle of the settler common to the valley of the Virginias to the Mississippi River and  to the Southern coast of the Carolinas. An iron  mounted, plain, undecorated rifle used for day-to-day life. This particular style was frequently more decorated than simpler Tennessee styles. Stocks were maple prior to the war but post war stocks were primarily walnut. This stock comes standard with straight octagon barrel and rod channel with drilled ramrod hole; and is not inlet for lock, triggers or cut for buttplate. Right hand only. Inletting options below for lock, triggers. Specify barrel up to 7/8” and when ordering. Not available with swamped barrel.
