Officer's Pre-Shaped Pistol Stock

This pattern closely represents an officer's style octagon to round, shorter barreled, single shot pistol as could have been found used by both the French and English in the Colonies up to the Revolutionary War period. A similar style would be made by later builders using any available parts they could find. That resulting pistol became known as the “Kentucky” but was generally larger, and with a much longer barrel averaging 9 to 12 inches in barrel length. Our pre-shaped Officers Pistol stock is strictly for recreating a style using barrels 8” and shorter. It is available with standard straight barrel channels in 13/16” or 7/8”. Rods were always tapered on French and English pistols with a “bell” shaped rod tip which is now available.
